Thank You teacher card tutorial

The end of two of my grandchildren's first year at school is fast approaching so its time to make some thank you cards. Given that
one grandson has  5 staff in his class and the other has 2 making 7 in total I decided to make all the cards the same. It would be easier doing it that way. this is the card I decided to make. Adding the teacher's name makes it more personal.

As usual I designed the card using my Silhouette Studio software, but it could me made without the software. I typed and printed out the "thank you" on the bottom half of an A4 white linen textured card in red.
I then traced an apple from clipart, coloured them and typed the teacher's name inside. I used the print and cut option in the software to cut out the coloured apples.
I also  cut out the nameless apples out using the white linen card.
I used the software for all these stages but could have printed them out in a word processor and cut them out by hand. Alternately I could have layered the coloured apple by using coloured card/paper and stamped the teacher's name in ink.

The last stage was to fold  the A4 card in half and placed the apples underneath the "Thank You" using foam pads to give the card dimension. I finished the card by using some Wink of Stella glitter onto the coloured apple.

Here is a tutorial video on how I used the Silhouette studio software to make the card

I've left the inside blank giving space for the grandson's to write their own message or draw a picture, whichever they want to do.  If you would like to download the nameless version of this card you can do it HERE. As usual the zip file contains the .studio and .svg formats and is for personal use only.
